Paragon

Paragon is our expression of the ultimate loudspeaker. Visually and sonically it is without rival or compromise.

From the structural elements and cabinet integrity to the genuine leather exterior and matched full gloss lacquer panels, Paragon is firmly in the State-Of-The-Art category.

The design and technology applied to both baffle diffraction and time alignment issues create a truly holographic sound presentation within Paragon that is 'soundly' unique. Air and depth never heard in recordings before. Sound staging with pin-point focus.

But this is only one sector of overall refinement where Paragon employs the same drivers as Revelation. It is also where the similarities end.

From the outside there are obvious visual differences in the design approach and the use of clean tapered angles to maximum sound dispersion. Next, there's the midrange enclosure, mechanically separate to isolate bass energy affects in the discerning midband region, always a challenge in high-end speaker design.

Then there's the element of floor isolation. Hand-turned and adjustable solid Australian Jarrah cones support each cabinet, preferred over spikes with Paragon.

At the rear of the enclosure, along with the tapered port, is a black acrylic plate supporting the input terminals from Eichmann Technologies that boast high conductivity and high signal flow. Optimum signal transfer to the speakers is vital if you expect to extract every subtle nuance from a recording that Paragon can and will accurately reproduce.

There are significant changes inside also that prove how much a cabinet can improve what is already accepted in the Image Revelation model as being 'best in class'.

To achieve this, it was necessary to add some weight to the cabinet, literally. All the cabinet walls are laminated high density fibre board to 36mm of thickness. This is time consuming construction, but a heavy-wall inert enclosure goes along way in reducing or even nullifying cabinet colourations inherent in almost all commercially made speakers. With the addition of substantial internal bracing and sand-filled base cavities we have created an almost perfect enclosure.

High quality crossover components and internal wiring are crucial to the accuracy in getting the audio signal to the speaker drivers. Only the best of these have been employed, selected for their performance within specific parts of the circuitry.

We spent many hours auditioning numerous cables until we found the best for Paragon. Supra multistrand OFC Concentric Cable from Sweden was chosen for the natural and musical balance we desired, and this is used throughout.

The choice of the genuine leather colour is for you to decide and there are many to choose from. And then there's the choice of a complementary colour for the side panels finished in automotive full gloss lacquer to make your personal statement.

Paragon has taken two years to develop. It is the pride of Image.
